Types Of Excessive Sweating
If you think you sweat too much, the first thing you should do is visit a specialist. The thing is that there isn’t a “tight” amount of sweat your body should be producing. Each one of us should evaluate if we are “sweating too much”. If you are, indeed sweating TOO MUCH, then have no fear. You should take into account that there are mainly two types of excess sweating.
The first type is when your body naturally want to sweat more, and the second type is due to certain types of conditions or disorders. The first condition is also known as primary hyperhidrosis and the latter condition is known as secondary hyperhidrosis. Primary hyperhidrosis commonly occurs on the palms of the hand, the feet and armpits.
What causes excessive sweating?
Some foods and drinks can trigger excess sweating. Alcoholic beverages or caffeine may induce profuse sweating. Likewise, hot spicy food can be the trigger for many people.
Excess sweating can also be inherited. You can easily find out if this is the cause by asking about your family history.
If you’re on some kind of medication, one of its side effects may include sweating.
Women that have gone through menopause can also suffer from excess sweating. Likewise, there are men with low testosterone levels that can suddenly develop profuse sweating problems.
Some illnesses and disorders can also be a likely trigger. You should always consult with an expert if you’re ill.
This is especially the case if you’re sweating cold, and feel very cold in general.
