Excess Sweating Vs No Sweating
Sweating is very important for a healthy body, it helps control our body temperature amongst other things. Some of us suffer from excessive sweating, while others don’t even sweat at all!
That said, both excessive sweating and no sweating at all, are symptoms that something is wrong. Excessive sweating, unless caused by an illness, is just bothersome and embarrassing for some people. However, it can escalate to a point of despair which can, in turn, bring serious consequences in the long run.
Lack of sweating, no sweating at all or too little sweating is also something that can disturb the body’s natural balance. Lack of sweat can mean various things.
Some people can be born without sweating glands, a very rare disease. This is an extremely serious condition and should be approached carefully by a professional.
But that’s not the only cause, some medications, or medical treatments can also interfere with the correct functioning of the sweat glands. This is especially the case when it comes to anti-anxiety or antidepressant medications.
Another cause, is that the nerves that control the functions of the body are exposed to situations that are out of their comfort zones, casing the sweating glands to malfunction.
Finally, serious burns, or some types of infections can also make our internal sweating system to be compromised and not function like it was meant to.
Always remember to consult with your physician. Only they can point you in the right direction, and give you the best options about how you can solve your sweating problem.
